Internet, Chinese Food & Lost
The interwebs at the Afia Hotel has been down for three days so Van and I ventured outside the compound to the Vodefone Internet office today. I needed to send an article to Videomaker by 4pm our time (8am Chico, California time). Ironically, the article was on producing documentaries as Van and I are here doing that right now.
Afterwards we went to the Osu part of town for Chinese food - which was spicy and very good – Ghana soccer t-shirts and Malarone malaria pills. It was hot, humid and crowded with traffic and people trying to sell us stuff. Pretty overwhelming really. Was good to come back to the Afia Hotel to air conditioning in our room, cold beer in our fridge and the Atlantic Ocean providing the sound track.
Was able to download both parts of the Lost season premiere on iTunes. I'm not a fan, but Van is. Guess I'll be sitting through about 88 minutes of this J.J. Abrams production tonight.
